Supporting Acts for Winter Moods Concert Announced

The New Victorians and Joe Roscoe will be opening for Winter Moods at their 30th anniversary concert this Saturday 13th of June at Fort St Elmo. Tickets are available from www.ooii.com.mt. All proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to Puttinu Cares.

The New Victorians are sister duo, Bettina (22) and Philippa (19) who have made music together all their lives. In December 2011 they participated at the International Alchemy Songwriting Competition in Arkansas, USA, where they were the youth division winners. They released their EP ‘Dustpile’ last year including their unique rendition of Queen’s ‘Somebody to Love’ and they just launched their debut full length album ‘Seeker, Seeker’ at the Earth Garden Festival. The 13-track album was recorded with producer Howard Keith, and features folk, electronic, pop and jazz sounds and includes their latest single ‘Keep Me In Love’.

Joe Roscoe is an Anglo/Maltese singer and songwriter, with a folk/acoustic background. In 2012 he released two original songs, ‘How I feel About You’ and ‘Side By Side’ which topped local charts. He went on to win the Best Newcomer award at the Bay Music Awards 2013. He moved to the United Kingdom in 2014 to further his music career and his studies in sound engineering. Joe is currently working on new material and is due to release his 5th single.

‘We are delighted to share the stage with young, talented musicians. Both The New Victorians and Joe Roscoe are gifted artistes who have a bright future ahead of them. We always aim to showcase new talent during our concerts and we are certain our audience will enjoy these performances,’ said Ivan Grech, frontman of Winter Moods.

During the concert Winter Moods will be performing songs from across their 30 years of music including classics like ‘Sarah’, ‘Marigold’, ‘Everyday Song[, and ‘My Neverland’ as well as new material from their latest album including ‘Days of my Life’ and ‘Everlasting’.

Tickets for the 30th anniversary concert are €15 for general standing and €25 for Inner Circle Standing (which includes a copy of The Journey CD). Tickets are available from www.ooii.com.mt or by calling 80074117.

The concert is supported by BOV, the Marigold Foundation, Coca Cola, Jack Daniels, Hard Rock Café, Renault, BMIT, Nestle, Nexos Lighting and Best Team Audio.
