Winter Moods’ 2010 Summer Concert on One TV on Christmas Day

Winter Moods’ 30th July concert, held at the Granaries in Floriana was a milestone in local music history. It was attended by 10,000 who witnessed a night of Maltese music where the band performed their top hits, which are so loved by the Maltese. This concert was filmed by One TV and will be showing on One TV on Christmas Day at 8:30pm

‘This concert was a dream come true,’said Ivan Grech, frontman of Winter Moods. ‘The people’s attendance in such amazing numbers, and having them singing along with us throughout the concert made this concert an unforgettable experience.’

During the concert Winter Moods performed songs from their new album Argento, as well as several hits from their career which spans 25 years. There were several special moments throughout the concert. During Sarah, the band’s very first hit song from1995 Winter Moods were joined on stage by 10-year old Bradley Duca on guitar. Whilst the Animae Gospel Choir accompanied Winter Moods on Everyday Song and Feels Like Home. During the second part of the concert Winter Moods paid tribute to Jon Lukas Woodenman when they performed a snippet of his 70s UK hit I Can’t Afford To Lose.

The night reached a climax with the last three songs – My Neverland, Hang On To Your Smile and Marigold.

Recently Winter Moods were honored at the Malta Music Awards for the work accomplished in 2010. They won the awards for Best Band, Best Album (Argento), Best Song (My Neverland) and Ivan Grech won the award for Best Songwriter.

Winter Moods concert will be showing on One TV on Christmas Day at 8:30pm.
